Katherine E. Nutbrown Scholarship Fund

Katherine “Renee” Gross-Nutbrown, a legend on Cape Ann, was one of the founders of the current LWV on Cape Ann. Renee also served as Chair of the Gloucester Board of Health, as a School Committee member, and on the boards of numerous civic organizations. She was an advocate for election reform, environmental issues, health care, and harmonious race relations. Renee’s positive attitude created a chain reaction of enthusiasm in her children, grandchildren, friends, and sisters-in-spirit in the League of Women Voters. We salute her diligence and strive to emulate her example.

Our scholarships to graduating high school seniors is named in her honor.

Contributions to the LWVCA Scholarship Fund will help to perpetuate Renee’s legacy among the young people of Cape Ann.
